Now bear in mind that many of our members have disabilities so it was only right that the job of walking should be the responsibility of the many friends of the BDDA. Recruitment began and family members and friends as well as a good quota from Ulverston Ladies Hockey Club set off one early May morning and I mean really early, for the journey to Keswick, if you see the photographs you will have some idea of exactly how early!
I'm glad to report that with the fantastic assistance of the support crews, all team members finished, albeit minus a few toe nails and with the addition of plenty of blisters!
